Find a Place for Treatment

When seeking treatment abroad, you are responsible for finding a suitable place for treatment. Once you found the treatment provider, you should agree with them on the treatment arrangements.

Also, submit the required medical records to the treatment provider and translate them to the language that is understood by the provider.

 If you are planning to obtain the treatment without prior authorization, ask the provider about the treatment costs that you will have to pay.

If you are planning to obtain the treatment with prior authorization, ask the provider whether they accept the prior authorization – and if they do, request the prior authorization from your competent social security institution and take it with you to the provider.
